ParaChat wasn't working out very well. It had some great features but the bad once outweighed the good. For example, the room would not notify an user if they had reached the maximum number of characters allowed and so a message was often truncatated and the only one who noticed was the typor.. that is if he noticed.
So we did away with ParaChat and introduced Freechat which is an java-based iirc chatroom. This room doesn't have all the cool features that ParaChat had; such as smiley faced icons, username icons, music and voice chat. The most important features that had us change our minds for this particular chatroom were this:
*Chatroom registration so the room is only accessible to Lunata[rium]
*Admin tools so if someone gets out of place the person in charge can kick out a person and even ban them if necessary.
*When an user reaches the maxim characters allowed for a message, his computer makes a sound (like a beep or a bird chirping, depending on what you have your computer to set up to do).
*Private Messages (pms) are still a feature. The only bad thing about *this* is that if you don't have the pms set to 'float' they'll block up whatever it is you're typing. (You'll have to click on the X at the top-right hand corner to close it)
So now.. how to register your 'nickname' or username in iirc?
you type the following code into the messenger after logging in:
/msg NickServ register [password] [email]
** example : /msg NickServ register pass23341 whodafuck@someemail.com

The overhaul in the way that the pages loaded into the website was a must due to the chatroom. The room is a bit slow to load and it was freezing if the room wasn't fully loaded and a person wanted to visit another page of the site. Because of this, we moved the blog to the front of the home page. After all, the blog has important messages about the website so, why not make it the home page?
Other pages got shifted around so they flow better as well.

Now I forgot what else I was going to say. Have a good day folks!
