We have not forgotten about Lunata. We've just had some major setbacks.

*Lack of money.

*Crappy laptop that finally DIED

*Moving to a new apartment.

We'll be back  in action, hopefully next month. We'll see. We're shopping for a new laptop so Georgie can join the fun. (I'm so selfish and I demand so much of his RP time in the chatroom).

Next subect:

Perfect Strangers.

What is this tab about?

This is a commemorative piece for a dear friend of mine, Celestina "Giggles" Mercado. A lovely soul, sadly, the victim of Domestic Violence.

She's still with us but I miss her humor and the long chats we'd have in the middle of the night. I hope she can wake up some day soon. We'll be here to cheer her on, that's for sure.

Work sucks. The weather sucks. Our health sucks.

No, we haven't forgotten about Lunata. We can't and will not forget about everything again.

I've just had the flu something horrible. And I'm not talking about 'my body feels like it was used to beat a truck with' type of flu but more along the lines of 'Holy SHIT! I just wrecked a car with my body, shat my pants and puked until nothing came up; I feel like shit, I cannot breathe... I need sleep but I'm hungry so I can't sleep but the mere THOUGHT of food makes me puke." kind of sick.

This has also taught me that I have a WEAK stomach; I am not ready for motherhood if I can't even hold my stomach in when my poor husband is doubled over at the prayer pew for the Porcelain God. We were so sick that I contemplated putting a futon in the bathroom and calling it an existence.

We're doing better now but trying to get back into the swing of things... as in, doing what's right for ourselves in an effort to be healthy again. We go to the gym after work and get home pretty late. Our bodies are still recovering from the Flu and already they are being punished into a moderate work out in an effort to keep them from resembling the Michellin Man.

I'll see you guys Friday night though.. if I don't die of a heart attack at the gym.

Work sucks.

We've been busy as hell what with work and trying to find new apartments for an up and coming move.. So, with that said, we've not had the chance to post quite as regularly as we'd like. As such, I just wanted to give you guys a head up. I don't want you to think we've abandoned it again,

Chatroom vol 2 (And overhaul)

Posted by AnqeiicDemise on February 15, 2009 at 7:33 PM Comments comments (0)

ParaChat wasn't working out very well. It had some great features but the bad once outweighed the good. For example, the room would not notify an user if they had reached the maximum number of characters allowed and so a message was often truncatated and the only one who noticed was the typor.. that is if he noticed.

So we did away with ParaChat and introduced Freechat which is an java-based iirc chatroom. This room doesn't have all the cool features that ParaChat had; such as smiley faced icons, username icons, music and voice chat. The most important features that had us change our minds for this particular chatroom were this:

*Chatroom registration so the room is only accessible to Lunata[rium]

*Admin tools so if someone gets out of place the person in charge can kick out a person and even ban them if necessary.

*When an user reaches the maxim characters allowed for a message, his computer makes a sound (like a beep or a bird chirping, depending on what you have your computer to set up to do).

*Private Messages (pms) are still a feature. The only bad thing about *this* is that if you don't have the pms set to 'float' they'll block up whatever it is you're typing. (You'll have to click on the X at the top-right hand corner to close it)

So now.. how to register your 'nickname' or username in iirc?

you type the following code into the messenger after logging in:

/msg NickServ register [password] [email]

** example : /msg NickServ register pass23341 whodafuck@someemail.com

The overhaul in the way that the pages loaded into the website was a must due to the chatroom. The room is a bit slow to load and it was freezing if the room wasn't fully loaded and a person wanted to visit another page of the site. Because of this, we moved the blog to the front of the home page. After all, the blog has important messages about the website so, why not make it the home page?

Other pages got shifted around so they flow better as well.

Now I forgot what else I was going to say. Have a good day folks! :D

Chatroom and Forums

Posted by AnqeiicDemise on February 14, 2009 at 7:55 PM Comments comments (0)

There are a few problems that we're trying to trouble shoot or find ways around such problems in an effort to fix them.

Let us start with the Forums:

The main problem with the forums is the fact that there are no Private Messsages (PMs) so its a bit difficult for members to be able to socialize and or start their own story lines from prying eyes. As of right now my only advice is that if you want to play something that is not friendly to all folks (y'know what I mean) then please do so in the privacy of your own e-mails or messenger.

Which leads me to the following:

Our chatroom has the option of pms. All you have to do is double click on the name of the person you wish to pm.

You also have the option to select an user icon from the list provided, send sounds into the main room and even voice chat. -- if you choose these sound features for the sake of OOCness, then I strongly suggest you do this via private messages so the rest of the room won't have to hear your conversation.

Right now there are no administration tools such as banning and freezin accounts on the chatroom mostly because we have the ParaChat beta or free version. If we want to upgrade the service we will need to sign up for a pay plan and as of right now, we would rather avoid that. I will not hesitate to tear the chatroom up to make a point for a day or two, so please, my friends, respect one another.

In the mean time, please have fun!

MODS!

As you can probably tell... I finally figured out the damned thing and how to give people moderator power. Now I don't have to be logged into the website administrator to add or remove posts. :D

Now, go enjoy the wonderful art of R.K. Mullholand and his lovely brand of political incorrectness.

Just trying this out.

And slowly we roll.

Well, it all started with the fact that I got tired of playing on forums alone. I craved something, something old yet new and totally exciting; the chatroom. And then I realized that yahoo chatrooms just suck, aol sucks even more and well.. we wanted our own room.

So it took a bit of digging around but I finally found ParaChat and with ParaChat I found Webs and that is how Lunata[rium] got revived in this new format.

I love this. I can't wait to get more traffic around here. :D
